Open Question: Canadian Football League expansion?

I am just wondering with the Superbowl already past for the NFL. Will the CFL ever compete against the NFL in terms of popularity and revenues? It can certainly need some more revenues to make the league more marketable. Why don't the CFL expand into more parts of Canada? They can certainly can expand to cities close to the Canadian Border like Seattle, Detroit, Boston, Burlington, Minneapolis, Buffalo, etc etc so people actually knows what is CFL.
